This 6-week course is for guitarists seeking an introduction to, and exploration of, the acoustic guitar’s most common role: that of accompaniment to song. Participants will learn basic chords, a variety of strumming styles, and some finger style patterns, using familiar songs as course material, with the goal of achieving a wide enough core knowledge of chords and styles to be able to learn songs quickly and to play them reliably in a group, social, or solo setting. Acoustic guitars are preferred, but electric guitars are welcome. Electric guitarists must provide their own amplifiers. There is a six student minimum and twelve student maximum for this course. Minimum 16 years of age.

Note: No class on November 23th.

Cancellations are non-refundable within 48 hours of this event.
