Two frames, sitting upright, filled with hand created glass summer beach scenes.

Design and assemble a 4-inch fused glass tile and add your choice of frame color. You’ll use beautifully luminescent specialty glass and other pre-cut glass elements to create the beach scene of your dreams. Serene, sparkly, bright, or dramatic—it’s all up to you. There’s no glass cutting required; everyone is qualified. Glass artist Heidi Reichenbach Finley gives just the right amount of friendly guidance and support for beginners and advanced alike.

Your creation will later be expertly fired in the college kiln room to a glossy finish and assembled into your choice of 5” frame. These have hardware on the back for hanging, or sit securely on a table or tabletop easel.

With a focus on fun and relaxed creativity, participants need no prior experience in glass or art of any kind to be successful--Guaranteed! These make great gifts, and you may decide to make more than one for a smaller additional fee, payable at the end of class.

There is no supply list for students. Finished tiles will be completely assembled and ready for pick-up at the college within a week. Shipping is available.

Additional information for students: Eye protection is available in the Glassroom, though participants won’t be cutting or breaking glass intentionally. The instructor will provide safety guidelines and support for proper handling of glass. Please dress for work and wear closed-toe shoes.
