Tarot by Numbers Session I=1-3 (10's reduce down to 1's)
As a system of symbolic meaning, Tarot is well suited to help us nurture our intuition, solve problems, explore creativity and more. But did you know that it connects with other systems of symbolic meaning? When we consider Tarot through lenses like numerology or astrology, we gain deeper familiarity with card meanings and also see how cards “travel” together in terms of shared themes.
Please join us for a series of three interactive, applied workshops that explore the role of numbers and numerology in Tarot. We will consider the numerical structure of Tarot with both the Major and Minor Arcana and explore how cards that share the same number present core themes in nuanced ways.
The workshop is designed for experienced readers, but all are welcome. At the end of the day, you only need a deck and desire to explore the interpretive possibilities of Tarot by numbers. Just please be aware that we will focus on establishing additional layers of meaning for the 78 cards as opposed to covering the core meanings themselves.
The workshops are experiential, with plenty of activities to help deepen your comfort with the cards. While the workshops cover basic principles, comfort comes with practice. For this, optional resources and activities are also offered to help as you independently practice and refine your skills.
NOTE: You will need access to a Tarot deck for these workshops. Please feel free to bring a deck you have; if you need to acquire one, Inspired Living (Boyne City) and Poetess and Stranger (Petoskey) have a variety of great options.
Cancellations are non-refundable within 48 hours of this event.
