For something completely different in the middle of winter, Tom Riccobono, instructor of low brass at the Interlochen Arts Academy, will teach us how to make beautiful music by just waving our arms.  He will bring a baton and give us a brief tutorial in conducting to help us understand how Leonard Bernstein, Toscanini, George Szell and other great conductors turned a written score into classic performances of the world’s greatest music. Tom is a graduate of the Eastman School of Music and holds a master’s degree from Penn State University.  As a performer, he has appeared with the Savannah Symphony, Detroit Symphony Orchestra, Rochester Philharmonic, Milwaukee Symphony, Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival Orchestra in Salzau, Germany, and Spoleto Festival Orchestra in Italy.

Cancellations are non-refundable within 48 hours of this event.
