French Conversation and Culture II

French Conversation and Culture II conitinues where the first class left off.  The class will refocus on themes but through varying verb tenses, based upon given vocabulary lists and topics. Each tense will be explained and practiced, applied through simple conversations/activities/short readings, It is suggested that students  bring a laptop to visit some practice sites in class that will help enrich their experiences.

If you hope to  travel to a French speaking country sometime soon, this class will be a fun way to practice conversational French.

Week One:  Present tense encompassing pillar iregular verbs, using the Olympics in Paris as our vocabulary base.
Week Two: Future and future simple tenses. Activity based upon speaking of our futures as we may best predict.
Week Three: Using learned information from the previous weeks classes to apply to free questioning and responding.  We will treat this class as a time to mingle along with wine samples/cheese/and various other treats.
Week Four: Past tense with avoir and etre - storytelling.
Week Five: Examined through poetry, past tense with imperfect uses/and special applications.
