The Tip of the Mitt Watershed Council is collaborating with Great Lakes Plastic Cleanup, TC Energy and Meijer to deploy two innovative litter collection devices across northern Michigan to tackle the plastic pollution crisis affecting the Great Lakes region. Jennifer McKay, chief policy and government affairs director for the Council, will explain how her organization is working with the Petoskey High School robotics team to deploy robots to remove plastics from beaches and waste materials floating in our waterways.
