The Great Lakes Chamber Orchestra and Chorus will be joined by legendary Bay View organist Kelly Hale to present Camille Saint Saens’ “Organ Symphony” and Carl Orff’s “Carmina Burana” at Bay View Association’s John M. Hall Auditorium on June 14. Maestro Libor Ondras and Professor Hale will offer a lecture on these iconic works in advance of the performance for the benefit of classical music lovers, especially those who plan to attend the concert at Bay View. For decades, Kelly Hale was the assembly organist and chamber orchestra conductor for the Bay View Music Festival. Libor Ondras is music director for the Great Lakes Chamber Orchestra and Kent Philharmonic Orchestra, guest conductor for the Slovak State Opera, and string faculty and artist-in-residence at the Bay View Music Festival. As a violist, he has performed with major orchestras in Europe and the United States.
Your fee includes a buffet lunch beginning at 11:30 am, lecture begins at noon.
