Join Beth Wemigwase, curator at the Harbor Springs Area Historical Society, to learn the true, but often overlooked, history of Harbor Springs. Drawing on original written documents and photographs from the society’s extensive archives, Wemigwase unravels the story of this small town. The presentation will cover the period from the settlement of the Odawa near Middle Village in 1742 to the eve of World War I.
Beth Wemigwase has been with the Historical Society for ten years, following her internship with the Mackinac State Historic Parks. Originally from Ohio, she received her Master’s in Historical Administration from Eastern Illinois University. Wemigwase now lives in the area with her husband Ben.
